Seattle Seahawks star wide receiver DK Metcalf is known as one of the most physical players in the NFL at his position, but his intense playstyle has gotten him into some hot water as of late with NFL officials.

Metcalf has been called for a number of personal fouls in recent games for unsportsmanlike conduct calls.

While this may cause some players to change their playstyle, Metcalf instead offered a blunt message to the officials, saying that he is going to continue to play football his way.

“When I’m beating somebody’s a– like I do when I’m blocking, sometimes the officials don’t like that. I’m just gonna continue to play football how I know how to play it, and that’s in between the whistle. Can’t stop that,” said Metcalf via Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic.

Whatever Metcalf has been doing on the field has largely been working for him and his team, sitting just outside of the top ten in the NFL in receptions with 79 on the year.

A big part of his success on the field is the physicality that sometimes gets him in trouble with officials on the field, so it will likely just have to be something that the Seahawks and head coach Pete Carroll deal with from Metcalf in his career.

Metcalf will look to have a big game in what could be a crucial game for the Seahawks’ hopes of a potential playoff bid this weekend against the Kansas City Chiefs.
