Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton fired up the whole NFL, especially the New York Jets, when he slammed everyone from former Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett (who now coaches with the Jets) to Aaron Rodgers, who didn’t take too kindly.
In fact, Rodgers called out Payton for his comments, especially about Hackett.
“Yeah, I love Nathaniel Hackett, and those comments were shocking for a coach to do that to another coach.”
As expected, Sean Payton asked about Aaron Rodgers comments … “No. We’re past it.”

Payton said that Hackett did “one of the worst coaching jobs in the history of the NFL.”
But it appears now that Payton wants to move past his comments, so when asked about Rodgers’s comments, Payton just said ‘No. We’re past it.’
Everyone around the NFL has slammed Payton for his comments, and maybe the heat has finally gotten to him, or maybe Broncos management told him to tone it down.
The last thing this team needs is another distraction going into the season, but Payton was repeating what many NFL analysts and fans were saying the previous season.
Hackett was Rodgers’ offensive coordinator in Green Bay, and many thought he was hired to attract Rodgers to Denver, but it backfired on them big time.
Hackett was fired after one season, and the team ended up trading for Russell Wilson, who was a bust.
