A stirring situation arose between the Seattle Seahawks and Kansas City Chiefs before the game.

Much of the United States right now is under a drastic, Arctic-like chill. Kansas City was no different on Christmas Eve, as it never climbed above 20 degrees Fahrenheit.

Despite that, Seattle “braved” the conditions during warmups. A group of Seahawks was pictured before the game, shirtless, despite the frigid temperatures. Included in the group were offensive stars Kenneth Walker III and D.K. Metcalf. Well, all that got the Seahawks were 10 offensive points in the game. Seattle only scored 3 points going into halftime. So despite all the toughness that the team seemed to show by going shirtless, the Seahawks didn’t take that toughness and put points on the board with it.

Naturally, the action wasn’t received well by everybody. Especially since the Seahawks were defeated by the Chiefs 24-10 and with the loss, they took another ding as their playoff chances are evaporating. They weren’t free from criticism after, and some of it came from the opposing side. Chiefs wide receiver Kadarius Toney commented on the Seahawks’ display and end result.

“They wanted to be tough, but you see the result,” Toney said via Fox 4 Kansas City sports anchor Harold R. Kuntz.

As it turned out, the Seahawks weren’t the only team to suffer an embarrassing loss following shirtless pregame warmups. The Browns did too.
