Over the past several months, pop sensation Taylor Swift has developed quite a relationship with Kansas City after she began attending Kansas City Chiefs games in support of her boyfriend Travis Kelce when the power couple began dating a few months ago. And after the tragic events of this week, Swift made a pretty insane move to support those grieving a loss.
On Wednesday afternoon, shooting broke out at the parade celebrating the Kansas City Chiefs’ victory in Super Bowl LVIII. The violence claimed the life of local radio DJ Lisa Lopez-Galvan and injured 22 others.
A GoFundMe page was quickly started for the family of Lopez-Galvan following her tragic loss. The page had the goal of raising $75,000, but thanks to some insane generosity from Taylor Swift, that goal has been far exceeded.
On Friday morning, the pop sensation made a pair of $50,000 donations to the GoFundMe page, bringing the total donation to $100,000.
“Sending my deepest sympathies and condolences in the wake of your devastating loss. With love, Taylor Swift,” the pop star wrote to the family.
Obviously, it’s some pretty insane news that the pop star would quietly make such massive donations to the family, and people had a lot to say about it on social media.
