Tennessee Titans wide receiver Treylon Burks caused panic across the fanbase on Wednesday. The former Arkansas standout went down with an apparent leg injury that forced him to be carted off the practice field. But hours later, fans were relieved to hear that while Burks was hurt, he skirted away from serious injury.

Burks sustained an LCL sprain, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.

“Titans WR Treylon Burks suffered an LCL sprain during practice today, sources say after the MRI. This is good news, as Burks should only miss a few weeks,” Rapoport said in a post. “A scare, but a solid result considering,” he added.

So Burks will miss time, but considering the severity of knee injuries, he certainly got away with one. It’s a relief for both he and the Titans, as Tennessee is in an AFC South that is up for grabs this season. Jacksonville has talent, but the AFC South has shown volatility before. After all, all four teams in the division have won it at least once since 2014.

The Titans drafted Burks in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft. Shortly after that, they traded star wide receiver A.J. Brown to the Philadelphia Eagles. So Burks has a lot of pressure on him and a big role to fulfill. Lucky for the Titans, he won’t miss any extensive time.

The NFL world reacted to the news.
