Since he’s already returned from one retirement, there remains some skepticism around Tom Brady and whether or not his latest retirement is going to stick.

In fact, according to Rich Eisen, the biggest rumor he heard swirling at the 2023 NFL Combine was that Brady might still return next season and play for a team he had been linked to in previous rumors.

“Number one rumor I heard at the combine, not in terms of chatter but this one just blew my mind,” said Eisen. “Tom Brady may not be done after all. Couple people are like ‘Just hang on, just you wait.’ I’m like, he’s Instagramming out videos of his cat.

“The one place that folks are saying keep an eye out for is Miami. And if the Dolphins cannot get…a doctor’s report, a piece of information about Tua that he might not be ready to go. And suddenly, there’s Tom Brady sitting in Florida where his family is located and he can easily locate himself.

“Keep an eye on that, I was told, by a couple of birdies at the combine.”

Brady was rumored to have been ready to join the Dolphins two years ago along with Sean Payton before the Brian Flores lawsuit upended those plans.

The NFL legend said he’s taking next year off before joining Fox as a broadcaster, so perhaps he’s keeping his options open for one more season, just in case.
