Tom Brady believes he’s not immune to ever being traded by the Patriots.

The longtime New England starter spoke to the press following the Patriots’ surprise trade of Jamie Collins to the Cleveland Browns. He told the Boston Herald he’s thought about potentially getting dealt after seeing New England walk-away from high-profile vets in the past seasons.

“Yeah, absolutely,” Brady said. “You can’t be around this long and not realize that the world will keep spinning and the sun will come up tomorrow without you. That’s just the way it goes. I think you enjoy the experiences that you have and also understand it just keeps going on. It could happen to anybody. You just have to show up to work, do the best you can do every day and let your performance just try to speak for itself.”

Bill Belichick hasn’t been shy about dealing big-name players, but the chances he deals Brady, at this point in his career, are about as close to zero as it could be. The 39-year-old has been with New England since 2000, leading them to multiple Super Bowl titles while putting up gaudy numbers. He’s a Hall of Famer as soon as he’s eligible. It would take a serious rift for Belichick to even entertain the possibility of dealing Brady. Fans in New England would riot.

Brady understands the league is a business, but there’s no chance he’s getting dealt. He’s perhaps the last player I’d expect in the NFL to ever be traded.
