Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady and Las Vegas Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels could be headed for a reunion, according to one free agency report.

Per Jonathan Jones of CBS, McDaniels and the Raiders will “aggressively pursue” his former New England Patriots charge in free agency.

Brady is going to be a free agent, and folks around the league don’t see him staying in Tampa,” Jones said on CBS’ The NFL Today pregame show. “The Raiders are going to trade or release (current QB) Derek Carr by mid-February, and the Raiders think Brady is a ‘program-changer’ just like he was in Tampa when he arrived.”

Brady and McDaniels, who both missed the 2023 NFL playoffs, worked together for 16 seasons and multiple Super Bowl victories as part of the New England Patriots.

The Raiders, under first-year coach McDaniels, benched longtime starter Derek Carr, who has since penned a goodbye letter to Raiders Nation. The Raiders are considered one of the most likely landing spots for the future Hall of Fame quarterback. Other teams reportedly include his hometown San Francisco 49ers and the Tennessee Titans, who are coached by former Patriots teammate Mike Vrabel.

Only time will tell if the major reunion comes to fruition.
