Tom Brady offered a warning to Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles this week, involving their controversial “tush push” in short-yardage situations.

A lot of NFL teams and fans don’t like the play and consider it cheating because Hurts is being pushed into the end zone by his teammates.

Brady thinks the Eagles need to be more careful using Hurts in this way. He shared his advice on the latest SiriusXM podcast Let’s Go! with Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray.

“The only thing I worry about in that particular play is they all know what’s coming when you line up in formation and that quarterback is going to take a lot of shots,” Brady said. “I don’t know how many times you want your quarterback taking shots. So yeah, it’s effective for a one-yard gain but it might be ineffective someday when someone hits a right shoulder of the quarterback because they know it’s coming. So you may have some short-term gain, you may have some long-term pain.”

Brady may not be wrong. Just a few weeks ago NFL analyst Chris Simms all but encouraged NFL defenses to take shots at Hurts when they see that play coming.

You wonder how long it will be before a team does take a shot at Hurts.
