Larry Nassar, the disgraced Olympic doctor who was convicted of sexually assaulting female gymnasts, was reportedly attacked and stabbed several times n prison.
The incident took place Sunday afternoon and is being investigated by the FBI according to a prison spokesman.
“The Federal Bureau of Investigation was notified,” the spokesperson said. “No staff or other inmates were injured and at no time was the public in danger. An internal investigation is ongoing.”
Nassar apparently got into it with another fellow prisoner and was taken to a local hospital where he had to have “life-saving” measures.
There is no official word yet on his condition.
Nassar is currently serving time because he sexually assaulted hundreds of female gymnasts, including former Team USA stars Aly Raisman and Jordyn Wieber who testified that he sexually abused them too.
This is not the first time Nassar was involved in this kind of incident. Back in 2018, as soon as he was released into the general population at an Arizona prison, he got into a fight with a fellow inmate according to his attorney, which prompted him to be transferred to the Coleman Penitentiary in Florida.
If Nassar survives this latest incident, one has to wonder if he again will be transferred to another prison or ever be allowed in general population again.
