Former United States President Donald Trump is pretty openly against trans-friendly policies, vowing multiple times to end “transgender insanity” in schools and ban transgender women and girls from playing on sports teams in accordance with their gender identities. But despite this, he still has the strong support of arguably the most prominent transgender person on the planet.

Caitlyn Jenner, who rose to fame after winning a gold medal in the 1976 Olympics as a decathlete as Bruce Jenner before her transition, has been an open and vocal supporter of Donald Trump for a number of years, and that continued again this week as she took to social media to praise the former president for his athletic ability – and Trump took notice, sharing the post on his own social media page.

“TRUMP GOES FOR GOLD!!!! Maybe even platinum? I Wouldn’t expect anything less from the greatest POTUS in modern history,” Jenner said in her Instagram post that was shared by Trump on Truth Social.

Jenner seemed proud that the former president shared her post, and sent another message to Trump.

“From one elite athlete to another (67 Club Champion) OUR FUTURE POTUS. Iowa- my alma mater state- is MAGA Country!” Jenner said in her post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

The interaction between the two generated a lot of buzz on social media.

It’s clear who Jenner will be supporting in the upcoming presidential election.
