Former United States President Donald Trump has been pretty clear in his opposition to transgender women competing in women’s sports, but it seems that he made a pretty crucial mistake in that battle by throwing his support behind Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine.

During DeWine’s re-election campaign back in 2022, Donald Trump publicly endorsed DeWine. But this week, he was regretting that decision a bit after the Ohio governor vetoed a bill that would have banned transgender women and girls from competing in women’s sports across the state.

Trump was not at all happy with the move from DeWine, blasting the governor for refusing to sign the bill, claiming that DeWine had “fallen to the Radical Left.”

“DeWine has fallen to the Radical Left. No wonder he gets loudly booed in Ohio every time I introduce him at Rallies, but I won’t be introducing him any more. I’m finished with this ‘stiff.’ What was he thinking,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “The bill would have stopped child mutilation, and prevented men from playing in women’s sports. Legislature will hopefully overturn. Do it FAST!!!”

But Trump did not avoid criticism himself, as many pointed out that Trump endorsed DeWine back in 2022.

It appears to be quite a mistake from Trump to support DeWine, and people were quick to call him out on it.
