Dr. Mehmet Oz, the Republican nominee for Senate in Pennsylvania, is in one of the most brutal campaigns in the country against Democratic challenger, Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman. The race could decide which political party controls the Senate after the 2022 midterm elections.

Fetterman has made plenty of hay this political cycle about Dr. Oz being a longtime New Jersey resident. The Fetterman campaign has flown banners over Philadelphia Eagles and Philadelphia Phillies games, highlighting that Dr. Oz is a Dallas Cowboys and New York Yankees fan.

Fetterman will undoubtedly be all over Dr. Oz’s latest sports gaffe, too.

Saturday night, while speaking at a rally and with former president Donald Trump standing behind him, Dr. Oz told supporters to contact 10 friends before Sunday’s Pittsburgh Steelers game to ensure they vote in this week’s election.

The problem is the Steelers don’t play Sunday. They are off this week.

“Oz: Tomorrow morning.. I want you to contact ten people.. do it before the Steelers game,” Acyn tweeted.

Sports fans and politicos were quick to react to the news:

“Y’all know that Dr. Oz is a fraud. The Steelers don’t play tomorrow. Pennsylvania, send this idiot back to New Jersey and elect John Fetterman!” Martin Roland tweeted.

New Jersey resident Dr. Oz is apparently unaware the Steelers are not playing until November 13th,” a Twitter user said.

“Dr. Oz is so full of s–t. He doesn’t even know his beloved Steelers are on their bye this week,” Chad Lowe tweeted.

“Tell me you don’t know f— all about Pennsylvania without telling me… Oz is a laughable fraud and pretender. You vote for him… I don’t even have words,” Mikko Alanne said.

“The whole thing looks AI….,” Ellen Hopkins tweeted.

The 2022 midterm elections will be held Nov. 8th.
