Rap mogul Jay Z and New England Patriots owner  Robert Kraft have come together on a new project designed to counter the banning of books, movies, and music that is currently taking place in this country.

Jay Z and Kraft’s organizations the Shawn Carter Foundation and the Foundation to Combat Antisemitism — have donated $1 million to provide pro bono legal services to educators and librarians who’ve been targeted by local policies banning books.

Organizations like Moms for Liberty have been on a mission across the country to ban books, movies, and music, which they deemed as too extreme for children and young adults.

They have come under heavy criticism from many other organizations for their stances but people like Kraft and Jay-Z are using their power, voices, and money to fight back.

Using their money and influence, the pair also plan on reprinting ban books and giving them away to several learning centers and they also plan on giving away scholarships and financial grants, to have their works turned into movies, plays, and audiobooks, to continue their messaging of diversity across the board.

They are putting their money where their mouth is and doing something about an issue that may play a huge part in upcoming elections.
