Donald Trump was indicted on 30 counts of business fraud by the State of New York, but the former United States President made time to hit the links anyway before his expected arrival in New York on Tuesday.

The former President, who will be arraigned on Tuesday as the unprecedented first-ever U.S. President to be indicted, hit the golf links this weekend. Trump played golf with former golf legend Gary Player.

CNN and the New York Times each reported about Trump and his time on the links.

CNN detailed Trump’s weekend down at the Mar-a-Lago club in Florida. It included back-to-back days of golf on the course. “In between conversations with allies, the former president played golf at his Trump International Golf Course Friday, before joining his wife Melania Trump and members for dinner at his Mar-a-Lago club, where he appeared quieter than usual, a source familiar with the events said,” CNN said. “Noting that Trump left the dinner scene earlier than usual that night. … On Saturday, Trump was back on the golf course, where he stepped out of the club to wave at supporters gathered across the street and had staff bring the group MAGA hats, sources said.”

Meanwhile, the Times, via Sherwin Bryce-Pease of the SABC News, tweeted that Trump golfed with Player. “The New York Times reports that ahead of his indictment in NYC, former President Donald Trump golfed on Saturday and spent time with retired South African golfing legend Gary Player at the Trump International Golf Club in Florida.”

Donald Trump faces an unprecedented reality as the first-ever U.S. President to ever be indicted. The expectation is he will arrive in New York and surrender as he appears in court. His business fraud charges stem from his alleged affair with adult film actress Stormy Daniels and the hush money involved to cover it up.
