The month of November is a pretty big one for the superhero movie genre with the release of Thor: Ragnarok earlier this month and the upcoming release of Justice League. But leave it to your favorite merc with the mouth to crash the party to get you ready for one of the more anticipated sequels.

Ryan Reynolds got in character as Deadpool for a special tease for Deadpool 2. In it, Deadpool parodied cult favorite artist Bob Ross and the jokes just kept rolling from there. There are far too many references to single out, but nobody appeared safe when Deadpool was on the canvas. Not Men in Black, not Doc Brown, not Betty White, and certainly not the humility of Deadpool. And of course, this teaser comes with the obligatory NSFW disclaimer.

Deadpool was a surprise smash hit for FOX last year by turning in a box office total of $783.1 million for a movie on a budget of $58 million despite coming with an R-rating. Deadpool helped prove you can make a successful comic book movie with an R-rating, and FOX followed that up with an R-rated Wolverine film, Logan.

Even Warner Brothers contemplated flirting with an R-rating for Batman v. Superman (maybe they should have). Hence the reference to “Box Office Gold” in the teaser video. The success of the movie quickly led to talk of a sequel from FOX, and it could possibly open the door to seeing Deadpool mix things up a little more with characters from the X-Men universe.

The big news for Deadpool 2 is the addition of Cable, who will be played by Josh Brolin, although it remains to be seen just what FOX will do with one of Marvel’s fan-favorites from the X-Men side of the Marvel universe. But all of your favorite characters from the original will be back, including Wade Wilson’s pal Weasel (played by T.J. Miller) and Negasonic Teenage Warhead (played by Brianna Hildebrand). And Colossus will be back as well, with the voice of Stefan Kapičić.

Deadpool 2 will come smack talking the sarcastic wit our way on June 1, 2018.
