One of the better identification failures in a long while came from E!’s Live from the Red Carpet coverage at the Golden Globes Sunday. While interviewing Jameela Jamil of NBC’s The Good Place, their caption showed her as “Kamilah Al-Jamil.” On The Good Place, Jamil plays Tahani Al-Jamil, who is constantly jealous of her sister Kamilah (played by Rebecca Hazlewood). So this was rather apt, as the show’s Twitter spotlighted:

To their credit, E!’s on-camera interviewers got it right, saying “And Jameela Jamil, you know your name girl, how could we not? It’s live, it happens but we know you from The Good Place” and “She’s amazing.” But this was still an amazing blooper, especially considering the show’s fondness for showing how Tahani is always tired of everyone praising Kamilah and ignoring her. And Jamil had some fun with it herself:

Regardless of how this happened, it’s a pretty amazing moment.
