Taylor Swift Syndication: The Enquirer

Longtime ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith might be among the last people you’d expect to see jamming out at a Taylor Swift concert, but apparently, that’s exactly what happened earlier this month.

During a recent episode of his podcast, Stephen A. Smith revealed that he went to a recent Taylor Swift concert along with his daughter and his daughter’s friends – after paying a fortune for the tickets, of course.

“I have two daughters. Teenagers have friends. So when your dad is perceived as having money, and you’ve got daughters that open their mouths and promise them that daddy’s gonna get them tickets…” Smith explained. “Ladies and gentlemen, I had to get 10 tickets. Them damn things was $2,000 a piece.”

But Smith made it clear that he didn’t just buy the tickets for his daughters, he decided to go too.  And from the sound of it, Smith thought it was worth every penny.

“That’s the best concert I’ve ever been to in my life,” Smith said. “Excuse my language, but that [thing] was off the chain. Taylor Swift brought the damn house down. I was jamming to Taylor Swift. She was sensational. I’d pay to see her again. Seriously, I’m not joking. She was a superstar that night. That girl is special.”

It’s a pretty hilarious story, and people had plenty to say about it on social media.

Stephen A. Smith is now a certified Swiftie.
