Just days before the Chicago Street Race this upcoming weekend, Bubba Wallace, Michael Jordan, and the 23Xl Racing team will host a block party on the Southside of Chicago Wednesday.
“Bubba’s Block Party” is a nationwide community initiative that will take place at The DuSable Black History Museum and Education Center.
The event will feature racing-themed entertainment, local food from Black-owned and black-operated businesses, and a live musical performance from Chicago rapper Lupe Fiasco,
This is a homecoming of sorts for Jordan, who, of course, played for the Chicago Bulls, where he won six NBA Championships.
Wallace knows how important it is for NASCAR to be more inclusive and bring more minority interest to the sport.
