Racing at Daytona and Talladega has always been rather unpredictable but Sunday took things to another level. After a sudden shower took out most of the field, the remaining cars running consisted of Austin Dillon, Austin Cindric, a bunch of damaged cars, and a bunch of underfunded teams.

Dillon wound up winning and qualifying for the NASCAR Playoffs but the Coke Zero Sugar 400 was massive for underfunded teams who rarely have a chance to compete for a win. Drivers like Landon Cassill (4th), Noah Gragson (5th), Cody Ware (6th), B.J. McLeod (7th), and David Ragan (9th) finished in the top 10 and that was also huge for a couple NASCAR fans who won big betting on the underdogs.

A fan by the name of Jason Fellenbaum revealed that he hit a three-driver parlay of Cassill (15/1), Ware (20/1), and McLeod (20/1) finishing in the top 10. With a $10 bet, Jason cashed in for $70,560.

His massive payday got noticed by Cassill and Ware, who did their part to make someone rich.

But that’s not all. An unnamed fan who listens to the podcast Stacking Dennys, used a $13.49 free bet on Cassill (15/1), Ware (20/1), McLeod (20/1), and Ragan (18/2) to win $999,433.63 based on the gambling advice of the podcast.

That is incredible. I’m sure there are others who also had big success but it’s great to not only see the underdogs have a great day but also for the people who have faith in them.
