Manchester United showed up late for a Sunday match against Tottenham and their competition is not about to let them forget about it. With an FA Cup replay against Manchester United on the schedule for today, West Ham United (also in north London like Tottenham) decided to offer Man United a friendly reminder of what time the match begins.

Manchester United was late for their match against Tottenham because their coach bus was unable to fit underneath an overpass on the way to the stadium. The bridge hassle came about because the driver of the bus was attempting to navigate himself around traffic. Perhaps having the Waze app with Shaw’s voice could have come in handy. The traffic delay and issues forced the start of the match to be pushed back by roughly 30 minutes, and the issues may have played a role in Tottenheim’s 3-0 victory.

Manchester United faces a fine for the delay, although the Premier League board will have to determine the consequences for such a lengthy delay. Delays of 15 minutes or fewer are subject to a £5,000 fine, according to The Daily Mail. the punishment for a 30-minute delay? Who knows. Maybe the bus driver should have to pay the fine though.
