There are some who think 37-year-old Megan Rapinoe’s best days are behind her on the soccer pitch.
Perhaps, but the soccer superstar still has some impressive tricks up her sleeves.
Saturday, the USMNT star assisted on three goals to help OL Reign cruise to a 4-1 victory over Angel City FC at Lumen Field in Seattle, WA.

After Angel City took a 1-0 lead at the 27-minute mark, Reign started to stage their comeback. Rapinoe served up a beautiful ball to Elyse Bennet for the tying score. Then in the second half, she set up Veronica Latsko to give them the lead, connecting once more just a few minutes later to put the match out of reach. Quinn added a fourth goal later in the match, which eventually ended with the lopsided Reign victory.
Rapinoe’s efforts made her only the fifth player in NWSL history to assist on three goals in one game. The last player to do that was Kristie Mewis for Houston in 2020.
Was that three assists for Pinoe today?

Sometimes I think about how we’re all free to enjoy our faves & STFU about those we’re not as keen on
and yet people watch Megan Rapinoe playing now, & insist that she’s washed, done, tired, can’t run, contributes nothing
and I just think, shutting up was an option for you 🥲 https://t.co/hTOquqtEnj
