Getting fans of Arsenal and Tottenham to come together is often a difficult task, but there are some things in life that are more important than soccer rivalries. One fan of Arsenal went above and beyond to help save the life of a fan of Tottenham.
Before we go too overboard with the touching story of how rival fans are now bonded for life in more ways than one, let’s keep in mind these fans were already friends. Nevertheless, kudos to Arsenal fan Dany Reid for making the decision to put his own life on the line as he chose to donate a kidney to his Tottenham-loving friend Tim Reid.
“You are a true hero and everyone deserves the right to know what a top guy you are the courage you have shown,” Reid said on Facebook, sharing a photo of the two friends in the hospital wearing their club’s jerseys. “Although your (sic) a dirty gooner I’m so proud to call you my best pal.”
