Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is the top movie star in the world but he hasn’t forgotten where he came from. Even though he’s a busy man, and is working on multiple projects simultaneously, The Rock sometimes comes back to WWE to do something with the company that put his name out to a mainstream audience.

While making the media rounds for his new movie Black Adam, Johnson was asked by Bloomberg Canada about whether he would invest in WWE or accept some sort of director position. Johnson was rather vague but revealed he spoke to co-CEO Nick Khan about his WWE future while also finding a way to squeeze in a mention for his tequila brand.

“Nick [Khan] and I have talked about that, and we always enjoy that over a bottle of Teremana,” Johnson said. “I love the wrestling business. I grew up in it. My grandfather [and] my dad started here in Canada, where [his father] was born. So, I’m not quite too sure if a board seat is in my future, but possibly other things are in my future, for sure.”

While Johnson didn’t elaborate, him saying “possibly other things are in my future” will spark speculation that he’s talking about  wrestling against Roman Reigns in the main event at next year’s WrestleMania. WrestleMania is in Los Angeles next year and it’s something that both Johnson and Reigns have discussed. It was even teased on Young Rock but even if Johnson wants to wrestle, with him doing so many movies and projects, it’s not a guarantee it can happen. Nevertheless, it’s another potential hint that maybe we’ll see The Rock in a wrestling ring one more time.
