Every year as WrestleMania approaches, there’s a special buzz around WWE.

This year is no different, as the company prepares for WrestleMania XL, which is set to take place on April 6 and 7 in Philadelphia.

This week, WWE superstar Montez Ford joined Jess Kleinschmidt on Short and to the Point and spoke about how the vibes change backstage leading up to the event.

“Everyone is in WrestleMania mode, when it comes to their diet, when it comes to their training, when it comes to appearances, and even when it comes to fashion. Everyone is in WrestleMania mode and WrestleMania mode is like, that confidence. Everything is exemplified to the highest maximum ability and being,” Ford said, before adding “Everyone’s just trying to have great performances, great showings, great conversations. WrestleMania brings out the best in everyone.”

Ford, who will team with Angelo Dawkins and Bobby Lashley in a Philadelphia Street Fight against The Final Testament at WrestleMania XL, marking his fourth WrestleMania match, also noted that the energy is contagious no matter how many times you’ve experienced it.

“Old, new, whoever it is. WrestleMania brings out the best in everyone. For us, it’s like a family reunion. We’re all on separate shows all year round and the only time we all see each other is on WrestleMania. It’s good that we’re in that time period of the year where not only is everything firing off on all cylinders, but everyone is bringing their A-game.”
