It’s been quite some time since former All-Pro wide receiver Josh Gordon was dominating the gridiron for the Cleveland Browns, but during his debut in the XFL this weekend, he gave football fans a little taste of the talent that he still has.
Josh Gordon is one of, if not the biggest name in the XFL this year, and on Saturday he played his first game with the Seattle Sea Dragons and wasted no time in proving to the world that he can still dominate on a football field. Gordon finished the game with six catches for 74 yards and a touchdown.
And the lone touchdown came on quite a wild play from quarterback Ben DiNucci.

Despite Gordon’s efforts, the Sea Dragons were unable to secure the victory in the season-opening showdown, falling to the D.C. Defenders by a final score of 22-18.
Still, Gordon’s strong performance was a good start for the receiver who once led the league in receiving yards, especially considering he hadn’t caught a pass in a football game at any level since Jan. 2 of 2021.
Gordon still has a long way to go before proving that he can still play in the NFL, but the 31-year-old was certainly one of the more dominant players on the field in the XFL this week.
