The Western Conference first-round series between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Dallas Mavericks was a competitive, five-game series. That trend held firm in the fifth game on Monday night, and went down to the final minutes of the game.

Late in the fourth, a loose ball had players from both teams on the floor. Of course, the forever-energetic Russell Westbrook was in the mix, and in a good position to grab the ball on the floor. Rookie Justin Anderson dove into the scrum to get the ball, and it appears that he may have intentionally taken a shot at Westbrook.

There’s certainly a chance that Anderson did not do it intentionally, but the argument can be made either way. This is definitely something that the league will be looking at, and don’t be surprised if a punishment of some sort is handed out on Tuesday.

The league has not been shy in punishing players this postseason, and if they have the slightest indication that Anderson has done anything, surely he will be getting a call from the league.
