Members of the USA basketball team attempted to go to a spa while preparing for the 2016 Games in Rio. They soon found themselves inside a high-end brothel.

According to a report from TMZ, DeAndre Jordan, DeMarcus Cousins, DeMar Derozan were among a group of American players who were looking to head to a spa on a Thursday night. They headed to a building they thought was a spa. It later turned out to be Termas Monte Carlo, a brothel that Rolling Stone once called one of Rio’s high-end brothels. You can read more about this establishment here on Wikisexguide.com

To no one’s surprise, TMZ has been all over this story. They have already been able to track down photos of Cousins and Jordan inside the building.

A source close to the team tells us the players got the standard line, so they assumed it was kosher. The source said, “They realized it wasn’t the right place for them and immediately left.”

As for what happened inside, the players were only seen hanging at the bar. Multiple sources tell us they bought booze … nothing more.

This story is so strange that it begs many questions and also sets off my BS detector. First off, who was the person who thought this was a spa. It’s well known around Rio, and with a simple Google search, it’s easy to find out that this brothel was part of one of the biggest prostitution ring crackdowns in history in 2012.

Other questions include: Who goes to a spa on a Thursday night in Rio? Isn’t there a spa on the cruise ship the team is staying on? If the guys didn’t want anything to do with the brothel, why did they stay and buy a drink?

With the Games just beginning, we will hopefully get answers to some of these questions. It will be a good distraction from the boring blowouts Team USA will be playing in during the Games.
