We’ve all seen videos where college teams reveal new uniforms, or helmets, or team facilities, any of which tend to leave the players on the team stunned or excited or speechless.
This is not one of those videos. Instead, this is Elon’s softball team getting a surprise reveal of their new uniforms.

Okay, so maybe the Elon players were stunned and speechless, but not for the right reasons.
That’s perhaps the least enthusiastic reaction of all time, and to be honest, I don’t blame them. Those uniforms are fine, and all, but are they “everyone close their eyes and wait” awesome?
I don’t think so. I kept waiting for the reveal that these were red herrings, and there was a different, totally amazing new set of unis out in the hallway. Alas, no. Just the giant E’s.
The ladies do an admirable job feigning enthusiasm, even rushing forward to feel the material, as though it’s going to be anything other than a typical uniform fabric. What, were they going to wear velvet onto the field? Or cotton? (Maybe if Costanza was the equipment manager.)
This is basically an episode of The Office in terms of cringeworthiness, and it’s amazing this was sent out anyway.
Well, anyway, go…Phoenix!
Elon’s mascot is the Phoenix, and I definitely didn’t have to look that up right now.
