Chris Leak, who played quarterback at Florida and won the 2006 National Championship with the Gators, is reportedly under investigation for sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl.

The Orlando Sentinel was the first to report on the investigation. Thus far, police have yet to press charges while it investigates the report. The assault reportedly occurred at Edgewater High School, the place where Leak was coaching high school football this season.

Here is what police have been told about the incident:

The alleged incident on Sept. 5 was reported Monday. It reportedly occurred on Sept. 5 in the athletic trainer office near the football field, according to an investigative report.

Leak allegedly asked the girl to give him a massage. He came out from the shower wearing only a towel, the report said.

The girl told detectives that she massaged his back legs and he asked her to massage the front of his legs, the report said.

According to the report, the girl told detectives Leak then pulled her hands up to touch his genitals.

She told police her hand grazed his genitals a few times, according to the report.

The girl then left.

He called her and eventually bought the girl some food before taking her home, the report said.

She later told a friend and Leak gave the friend $100, according to the report.

Leak resigned as Edgewater’s head coach on Monday. It’s easy to assume the decision came as a result of this investigation.

Since Leak played alongside Tim Tebow and Percy Harvin in 2006, we haven’t heard much from the former Gator. He bounced around between a few different NFL rosters before having stints in the Canadian Football League and Arena Football League.

After his playing time, Leak made his way into coaching. He was an assistant at Florida under former coach Will Muschamp. He has also done community outreach work with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

This story is likely just beginning and there will surely be more to come about the ongoing investigation.
