Bill Belichick is the definition of reclusive.
Belichick’s rant about how he has no interest in social media being a recent prime example.
But is it really possible that he didn’t know the Falcons won the NFC Championship game until after the AFC game ended? That’s what he’d like us to believe:
I think I just broke some news to Bill Belichick. Asked preliminary thoughts on Falcons in Super Bowl, he said he didn't even know they won.

Okay. That strains credulity.
A lot of what Belichick does is obviously performance art, some of it more purposeful than other parts. But the NFC game finished up with time to spare before the Patriots and Steelers kicked off. And considering the Falcons opened up a 31-0 lead, it was in effect over long before the Patriots game.
There’s no way he didn’t know. He loves to craft a specific image, and this plays so perfectly into that image (just wait and see how it plays in the media) that it has to be a construction.
Belichick certainly lives the act, though.
His favorite movie is probably The Prestige.
