indians

Friday night was one to remember for Cleveland Indians fans. With Friday’s game against the Baltimore Orioles designated as $2 beer night, they made certain to take full advantage of the opportunity for lowered prices in the most imaginative way possible: by building a magnificent tower of beer. The journey towards this was certainly a process for fans to reach.

Here’s where it began:

Gradually,  their numbers started to grow.

Eventually, fans put their resources of beer together to construct possibly the most beautiful architectural wonder to ever be seen at Progressive Field.

Unfortunately, the fruits of their labor were short lived, as fans were told to take down their creative structure (Deadspin has video of fans booing as they take it own). But, one still can’t help but marvel at its creation.

Friday, May 27 will be recorded in the annals of $2 beer night history as one of the greatest nights of all-time. The fact that the Cleveland Cavaliers clinched their second straight NBA Finals appearance makes the city a pretty happy place this weekend.

Thankfully the Indians’ $2 beer night went a whole lot better than Ten-Cent Beer Night did once upon a time.
