Whenever you think you’ve heard the last of Tim Tebow, America’s most polarizing terrible quarterback finds a way to return to your life.
This time, the former Broncos/Jets/Eagles/Patriots bench-warmer and current ESPN analyst has re-inserted himself into our lives by reportedly trying his hand at baseball.
Tim Tebow is actively pursuing a career in professional baseball and plans to hold workout for Major League Baseball teams later this month.

Via ESPN, here’s a statement from Tebow’s agent seemingly confirming the career shift.
“Obviously we support Tim in his pursuit of a baseball career, as we have in all his ventures,” said Tebow’s football agent, Sexton, who is now working with CAA baseball agent, Brodie Van Wagenen.
“Tim’s athletic ability, his work ethic, his leadership and his competitiveness were evident in football and will show in baseball. Knowing Tim’s passion and desire, we won’t be surprised by anything he accomplishes.”
Any time you can get the words “worth ethic,” “leadership,” “competitiveness,” “passion” and “desire” into one breathless press release, you know you’re talking about Tebow (or maybe Danny Woodhead).
To be clear, there is a 100 percent chance this experiment will fail. Tebow was a solid baseball player in high school, but that was more than a decade ago. Now he’s 29 years old —way past the age where he could be a true prospect — with no professional experience on the diamond. ESPN reports that all 30 MLB teams will be invited to Tebow’s workout, but it’s hard to figure why any of them would attend.
Taking into account Tebow’s infinitesimal chance of actually playing pro baseball, there are pretty much two possible responses to this news. There’s the rose-colored option, in which Tebow chasing an unattainable dream is something we should all admire:
Good for Tim Tebow, chasing whatever dream he desires at whatever age he chooses to do so. That's not lame, in my opinion. That's enviable.

Or the cynical one, in which his sport-switch is pretty much just an excuse to give Skip Bayless something new to talk about:

Either way, it has been a while since we’ve had anyone screaming about Tebow on TV or ranting about him online in all-caps, and it’ll be nice soul-crushing to have that back in our lives.
