EA Sports’ Madden NFL 17 is set for an August 23 release, but some people have already been able to play the game thanks to review copies, and thanks to the game being available early for a limited time on XBOX One for people that have an EA Access subscription, as Gamespot explains:
The full game is playable now on Microsoft’s system through EA Access. You need a subscription ($5/month or $30/year) to play, which gets you access to the full game ahead of launch.
Players have access to the game for a “limited time.” The exact length of the early play period was not specified, but if history is any indication, it should be between 6 and 10 hours.
Well, one Twitter user has already gotten his hands on the game, and noticed a glitch — or at least highly unrealistic situation — that EA Sports may want to make an adjustment on for their first downloadable update.
Twitter user @rob_b1991 was playing a game with the New Orleans Saints and Oakland Raiders, and for some reason had Ryan Fitzpatrick (the real-life New York Jets quarterback) as the Saints quarterback. We’ll assume that one is @rob_b1991’s doing with roster changes, but the main takeaway is that Fitzpatrick kneeled down in the game as time was running out… and suffered a knee injury:

Whoops. For what it’s worth, the game seems to be getting good reviews so far (aside from @rob_b1991), as IGN gave it an 8.6 out of 10, and GamesRadar gave it a 4 out of 5.
