The Army Black Knights got desperate with the tricks when trailing 31-12 with under five minutes to go against the Tulane Green Wave on Saturday, and it resulted in one of the most hilarious plays you’ll see in football.

On a kickoff following a Tulane touchdown, Army tried the throwback play on the kick return. Not only did the trick play not work for Army; it resulted in what was basically a pick-six for Tulane.

Army’s Tyrell Robinson tried to throw a lateral pass across the field to a teammate inside their own 10-yard line, and instead it was intercepted by Tulane’s Jaetavian Toles for an easy Green Wave touchdown.

Whoops! We can safely assume that Army will not be replicating the Music City Miracle this season.

Tulane outscored Army 24-0 in the second half to win 38-12.
