The Texas Rangers trailed 5-4 with two outs in the bottom of the 10th on Friday night when Adolis García stepped up to the plate. And when his plate appearance concluded, the Rangers had a 7-5 victory.
García sent a Bryan Abreu 95 mph fastball over the wall in right-center field for a walk-off three-run dinger.

The 28-year-old rookie now has 12 homers (tied for fourth in the majors) and has 35 RBI (sixth in the majors). And he’s been particularly clutch late in games.
García has 4 3-run homers now, 4 in the 9th inning or later. He's driven in 33 runs in barely over a month.

Adolis García and Yermin Mercedes, both 28 years old, had combined for 2 Major League hits before this season.
In 2021, they've been arguably 2 of the ~10 best hitters in the AL.

García has been an incredible find for the Rangers after being in the St. Louis Cardinals’ system from 2017-19.
