The Utah Jazz will be fighting for their playoff lives on Thursday when they take on the Dallas Mavericks in Game 6 of their matchup.

Monday’s game saw the Mavericks come out on top with a dominant 102-77 victory, but that may not have been the biggest takeaway from the game. Jazz star shooting guard Donovan Mitchell exited the game in the fourth quarter where it appears he suffered some sort of hamstring injury.

The game was already well in hand for the Mavericks, so Mitchell did not return. An MRI on Mitchell’s hamstring came back negative, which is definitely a great sign for Jazz fans.

Mitchell provided an update on his status for Game 6 on Wednesday, saying that he is “good to go.”

While Jazz fans certainly have to be happy to hear this news, it is unclear exactly how well Mitchell will be able to play in the game. He has said that he is still dealing with soreness from bruises on both legs, which could seemingly affect his ability to play at 100 percent with elimination on the line.

Mitchell has been putting up points so far throughout the playoffs, averaging 26.0 points per game, but he has not been very efficient, only shooting 37.9 percent from the field and a shocking 19.5 percent on three-point field goals.

The team will certainly need the three-time All-Star to be playing at his best if they want to force a Game 7 against the Mavericks.
