Skip Bayless has always been weird about Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott. The Fox Sports host has said a lot of strange (and dumb) things about him over the years, but his latest comments are right up there.
Prescott is going to be out 6-to-8 weeks after injuring his thumb in the Cowboy’s season-opening loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Backup quarterback Cooper Rush stepped in for Prescott on Sunday and appears likely to continue doing so until the start returns. Rush, who wasn’t even on the active roster until late last week, is a longtime backup for the franchise and will do his best but even he knows that he’s not Dak.
As Bayless sees it, not only will Rush be able to hold down the fort, but there isn’t that much of a talent difference between the two, which is insane.

“You could make a case that Cooper Rush is almost as good as Dak, and sometimes I think he can be a little more consistent than Dak,” said Bayless.
“You need to put that in a briefcase and walk up out of here,” Shannon Sharpe rightly responded.
Obviously, Bayless is trolling in the way that he always does with certain people, like LeBron James. Prescott has long been one of those guys that he’s just decided to dislike and it doesn’t really matter what he says or accomplishes.
But just so we’re all clear, Prescott has 9,376 passing yards, 70 touchdowns, and 22 interceptions in his NFL career while Rush has 424 passing yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. So, no, there’s not really a comparison to be made here.
