Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is having a hard time. His team lost its Week 1 game, 19-3, to Tom Brady and its NFC rivals the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Worse, his team is riding with quarterback Cooper Rush after its starting quarterback, Dak Prescott will have to have surgery on his right thumb and will miss approximately four weeks of action. Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has been floated as a stop-gap solution.
Oh, and then there’s the Super Bowl drought for the last 25 years. The natives are starting to get restless in Dallas, but Jones took to the airwaves on Friday and declared that he would be too mad to ever sell the most valuable franchise in the league.
#Cowboys owner Jerry Jones to fans frustrated “I’d be mad too” but says “I’ll never sell this team” and says he would be open to a segment on @1053thefan taking calls from fans. 🤣🤣🤣 also adds shuffling out GMs around the league isn’t the secret to success either. (Enjoy fans)

“Cowboys owner Jerry Jones to fans frustrated, ‘I’d be mad too,’ but says, ‘I’ll never sell this team,” NFL reporter Jane Slater tweeted. “Says he would be open to a segment on 105.3 The Fan taking calls from fans. Also adds shuffling out [general managers] around the league isn’t a secret to success either.”
Jones’ decision will likely prove controversial to fans. Jones has owned the franchise since 1989.
The Dallas Cowboys are next in action Sunday when they host the Cincinnati Bengals at A&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
