NBA veteran forward Andre Iguodala had been wrestling with whether or not to retire following the 2021-22 NBA season. But after plenty of thought and consideration, it looks like the four-time NBA Champion will be returning to the Golden State Warriors for one more season.

Iguodala announced his return to the NBA on his “Point Forward” podcast alongside NBA veteran Evan Turner.

“I myself will be returning for my 19th season,” Iguodala said on the podcast. “This is it. We’re gonna have some fun this year. It’s going to be exciting. Really looking forward to getting back with my guys on the court.”

Iguodala revealed that Steph Curry, Draymond Green, Klay Thompson, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr and general manager Bob Myers all played a role in his decision to return to the NBA. However, Iguodala did have a message for Curry and the rest of the team that this really is his final NBA season.

“I’m letting you know now, Steph, this the last one,” Iguodala said.

Iguodala’s return is massive news for the defending-champion Golden State Warriors, and the NBA world offered plenty of reactions.
