We’re just one game into the Los Angeles Lakers season and it seems the team already has some issues after LeBron James criticized the team’s offense and shooting following the season-opener to the Golden State Warriors by a score of 123-109 on Tuesday night.

During his postgame press conference, James was asked about the team’s poor shooting during Tuesday’s loss and the NBA star blamed the team’s poor construction, indicating that there aren’t a lot of quality three-point shooters on the roster.

“We’re getting great looks, but it could also be teams giving us great looks,” James said after the game. “To be completely honest, we’re not a team constructed of great shooting. That’s just the truth of the matter. It’s not like we’re sitting here with a lot of lasers on our team. That doesn’t deter us from still trying to get great shots. When you get those opportunities, you take them. But we’re not sitting here with a bunch of 40+ [percent] career three-point shooting guys.”

It’s certainly an interesting comment to make, especially after the first game of the season, and the NBA world had plenty to say about it on Twitter.

The good news is, the Lakers have plenty of time to fix these issues. The bad news is, complaining like this after the first game of the season is never a great sign.
