The Senior Bowl gives players the opportunity to meet with several NFL teams and see if they are a fit. Tennessee Volunteers quarterback Hendon Hooker is injured and not participating in Senior Bowl practices or the game, but is still there to meet with teams. And he said this week he’s enjoying that, including his first meeting, which was with the Tennessee Titans (including head coach Mike Vrabel and GM Ran Carthon).

Hooker joined Ramon Foster, Kayla Anderson, and Will Boling on Nashville’s 104.5 The Zone Wednesday, and spoke about the various meetings he’s had, including one with the Titans.

“It’s been a gauntlet of teams for sure. You meet with everyone and I just have a blast talking ball,” said Hooker of his interviews. “The meeting with the Titans was really cool. Kind of a surreal moment for sure because that was the first team I talked to in the interview process. Just being able to sit down with the head man and talk ball was a blast.”

The Titans find themselves possibly in the market for a new quarterback as they may be looking to move away from starter Ryan Tannehill.

Hooker may be the perfect choice for the Titans. He is from the state, has a very good arm and won SEC Offensive Player of the Year, and was first-team All-SEC too.

It all depends on which direction they want to go and may also depend on Hooker’s recovery from an ACL injury he suffered during a loss to South Carolina at the end of the season.

He may not be selected in the first round, but don’t be surprised if he is a high second or third-round pick.
