Earlier this month, the Pittsburgh Steelers acquired veteran receiver Allen Robinson II by way of a trade with the Los Angeles Rams. And it sure sounds like Robinson is pleased to be with the Steelers and was not happy with the role he had with the Rams.

When asked why things didn’t work out for him in Los Angeles with the Rams, Allen Robinson decided to quote NBA star, Patrick Beverly, sending a clear message about what he thought about his time in Los Angeles.

“If you’re a fork, you don’t want to be used as a spoon the majority of the time,” Robinson said according to Pittsburgh Steelers beat writer Alan Saunders of Steelers Now.

Obviously, this quote is a clear message to the Los Angeles Rams that he was not exactly happy with the role he had with the team last season.

It’s worth noting that Robinson spent much of the 2022 season dealing with a lingering foot injury and only appeared in 10 games with the Rams. But it sounds like when he played, he wasn’t comfortable in the role they had for him.

Robinson will undoubtedly hope that the Steelers are able to carve out a better role for him in Pittsburgh.
