The San Francisco 49ers will play the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 58 this weekend. The Niners and Chiefs will play in a rematch of their thrilling encounter in Super Bowl LIV several years ago. There’s plenty of window dressing this time around, too, with Taylor Swift potentially being in attendance. Swift, Travis Kelce’s girlfriend, could appear at the game if her flight from Tokyo, Japan, gets into Las Vegas at the right time.
While the mania around Taylor Swift developed, 49ers fullback Kyle Juszcyzk entered the fray. His wife, Kristin, designed a jacket that Swift could be seen wearing during games. His wife’s clothing became popular online, and she showed off several different outfits, including one for U.S. gymnast Simone Biles.
So, going into the Super Bowl, will the friendship be maintained? Juice joked otherwise.
“We’re big supporters of Taylor, but not this week,” Juszczyk said on NFL Network via NFL.com. “That’s another really cool thing is that everyone who sees her work, I haven’t heard any negative things about it. Everybody is like, ‘Wow, that’s really cool. That’s really impressive.’ So, I feel like it’s rare, usually when you blow up on this level, you’re going to find some negativity, and there’s been so little of it.”
Football will have to be prioritized over friendships this week.
