Joe Burrow Syndication: The Enquirer

Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals got off to an auspicious start to the season. While it was clear that Burrow wasn’t 100 percent, the Bengals stumbled out of the gates. But lately the team has righted the ship. They are now 3-3 and while they’re in last place, they’re only one game back in the loss column. That has plenty to do with the play of Burrow lately after his skittish start.

Burrow and the Bengal offense may be installing a new element to their game. Reporter Charlie Goldsmith posted on Wednesday, “Joe Burrow is working under center snaps into his pre-practice routine. A new part of the program for a Bengals offense that could play under center more going forward, as Brian Callahan said last week.”

Burrow and the Bengals often run out of shotgun, so changing it up is something that feels like it won’t hurt. At 3-3, Cincy needs to get the ball rolling again. So they’re probably willing to take on whatever.

But Cincinnati will have their work cut out for them this week. After dealing with a comfortable bye week, the Niners will take on the San Francisco 49ers by the Bay. They then will have matchups with Buffalo, Baltimore, and Pittsburgh before the end of November.

The NFL world had plenty to say about the news on the Bengals and Joe Burrow.
