Josh Allen Bills Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The Buffalo Bills are on a bit of a run right now, and even amid their winning streak, quarterback Josh Allen remains humble. On Saturday night, Allen and the Bills won a nail-biter against the Los Angeles Chargers. While the Chargers fired Brandon Staley and appeared lost, they still put up a solid fight against the surging Bills.

Allen is taking nothing for granted if his postgame comments are any indication.

Pro Football Talk wrote that Allen was complimentary of the Chargers and recognized the moment at hand.

“It’s tough because when you’re playing a team with nothing to lose, that’s a dangerous team. That was a dangerous team we played today,” Allen admitted. “We gutted it out, and we found a way. It’s the NFL. These are the highest-level professional athletes in the world we’re playing. It’s not easy to win. It’s not easy to win by a lot.”

Allen is right that it’s very difficult to win in the NFL. It’s arguably the most volatile sport of all, and one loss can send you into a spin. But the Bills still managed to scour up a win on the road, no small feat no matter the opponent.

The now 9-6 Bills have two games remaining on the schedule as their playoff push appears to grow likelier by the week. They’re a dangerous team themselves and could prove to be a serious threat come January if they get in.
