The Los Angeles Dodgers placed 24-year-old right-handed pitcher Bobby Miller on the 10-day injured list.

On Saturday night, the Dodgers announced the roster move to place the 24-year-old Miller, a former top prospect in the organization, on the injured list. He’s currently dealing with right shoulder inflammation, but an MRI revealed no structural damage to his shoulder.

So, while the team has to shut him down for now, it doesn’t appear that it’s a long-term cause for concern.

The team announced the roster move in a post on X. The Dodgers said, “The Dodgers have recalled LHP Nick Ramirez and RHP J.P. Feyereisen and placed RHPs Bobby Miller and Connor Brogdon on the injured list.”

Fabian Ardaya reported that the right-hander’s MRI revealed he does not have any structural damage.

Miller debuted with the Dodgers last May and finished his rookie campaign on the up and up. He’s posted a career 3.90 ERA and thrown 137 strikeouts in 136.0 innings. He got through just 11.2 innings in 2024 before his shoulder inflammation issue intervened.

The Dodgers, at least, won’t have to deal with being without Miller for long. Compared to the Atlanta Braves, LA gets off easy. Atlanta lost ace Spencer Strider for the year this weekend after he underwent surgery after UCL issues flared up.

The MLB world still had much to say about Bobby Miller and the Dodgers’ decision to put him on the IL.
