The Cleveland Browns are 7-4 and, for all intents and purposes, are still in the thick of the hunt for the NFL Playoffs. So the fact that they have a fluid situation at quarterback could present issues. Head coach Kevin Stefanski is steering a calm ship, though, and explained the current state of the position on Monday.
Following a difficult 29-12 loss to the Denver Broncos, Stefanski spoke to the media and focused on quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson. DTR suffered a concussion in the loss to the Broncos, so his status is now up in the air.
The Browns recently signed Joe Flacco to their practice squad in case of emergency. They have former XFL quarterback P.J. Walker on the team as well, so the team is facing a difficult situation.
“I think with all our players that we get during the season — Obviously, you work with them in the meeting room, out on the practice field, and see where they are. We’ll see where this week goes based on, obviously, Dorian’s health,” Stefanski said.

So, the quarterback situation hasn’t resolved itself quite yet. Time will be the Browns’ biggest friend this week in waiting to see if Thompson-Robinson can heal in enough time. That will also indicate whether the Browns intend to tab Flacco to come off the practice squad and join the team.
