Dan Orlovsky Credit: First Take

Several in the sports world are talking about ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky, but not for ar season you might expect them to.

On Friday, Awful Announcing penned a post that got a lot of attention. After a segment aired on ‘First Take,’ the popular sports media website crafted a column about how Orlovsky, a former Detroit Lions quarterback, buys first-class tickets for his wife on an airplane…

After making a bid on it!

Stephen A. Smith was, naturally, incredulous about it.

“Weve seen enough. Dan Orlovsky needs his own reality show,” Awful Announcing posted on X, the website formerly known as Twitter.

As AA wrote:

“Does that money go with you when the good lord takes you?” Smith asked. “DId it ever occur to you that the moments you provide to your lovely wife and the mother of your children, is worth more than ten thousand dollars?”

Smith’s response wasn’t the only animated response to come from the sports media world.

Shortly after the article was posted, a slew of ESPN personalities and otherwise joined in to poke fun.

Orlovsky also decided to chime in on the roasting session.

“Renaissance Man,” he posted in response to his ‘NFL Live’ colleague, Mina Kimes.

But as always, it seems like social media isn’t letting up on Orlovsky, and in the defense of everyone else, everyone’s just reacting to things he’s openly admitting.

But at least we can all have fun with it.
