Former five-star quarterback Dante Moore announced he would enter the NCAA transfer portal at the end of the season. Not surprisingly, some top college football programs have reportedly begun pursuing the Detroit native.

On3 Sports reported on Wednesday that four programs – Michigan, Miami (FL), Ohio State, and Oregon- have all begun to emerge as contenders for Moore’s services.

The news was reported in a post on X, the website formerly known as Twitter.

Before committing to UCLA, Michigan and Oregon both were pursuing Moore during his recruitment. So both coaching staffs, as they stand right now, have familiarity with him. It should come as no surprise then that both are pursuing the talented rising sophomore quarterback, who’ll have plenty of eligibility with him when he eventually decides on a new roster.

Bo Nix and J.J. McCarthy won’t be around in Eugene or Ann Arbor next season, so it makes sense that they’re both pursuing him. Oregon has also been linked to Cam Ward and Dillon Gabriel too.

Miami (FL) and Ohio State both saw their starting quarterbacks – Tyler Van Dyke and Kyle McCord – decide to transfer this offseason. So now, the Hurricanes and Buckeyes are both in need for a quarterback too. There’s been recent recruiting battles between the Canes and Buckeyes, including one that Miami just won over a Top 10 recruit.

Needless to say, Moore’s pursuit and where he lands will be one of the big storylines this college football offseason. And especially so if big schools are going to be chasing after him again.
